If I were to get a new digital camera, this will be my first choice due to its functions, performance and portability. Being so slim, you can slide it right into your pocket and it will not take up more space than your handphone or wallet.
The difference with its predecessor, Cyber-shot DSC T100 is that it features a touch screen on a 3.5” LCD, and I believe it makes navigation among camera controls easier, more convenient and cooler.

A special feature with this camera is that it comes with a function called “Smile Shutter”. Whenever it detects smiling in its view, it snaps a photo. I think this is an interesting and useful feature as it makes the camera more automated.

The shortcoming of this camera is that its image quality does not live up to its predecessor as the images look softer, however it does produce excellent images.

Interested parties may want to visit http://www.sony.com.sg/microsite/cybershot/products/t200/3dflash.html for a detailed review of the functionalities of the phone including overviews of its main features as well as its technical specifications. It is very informative and I believe will convince you that the camera is indeed a great choice.

Price: $659 by Sony (Comes with free gifts)

iPod Touch

Want a gadget to show off your friends and make them jealous?

Look no further than the iPod Touch, the newly released iPod featuring the latest touch display technology by Apple, which allows you to navigate the system by flicking and moving your figures around the screen. Things become so much easier and convenient with this technology.

Have a drama series or movie you downloaded that you would like to watch on the MRT or bus ride to school/work? Simply download it into your iPod touch and watch it on the go – widescreen.

It also features WiFi system which means you can surf the net anywhere there are wireless internet hotspots, whether at home or in Starbucks, fast food joints, and many other places. It also has a program that allows you to view YouTube videos or show your friends, as well as to buy and download music over wireless internet, bringing lots of convenience.

The only thing I find lacking in iPod touch is disk capacity. Having a 16GB storage may seem a lot to some, but for me, it is definitely not enough. Having an iPod Video (5th generation) that has a 30GB hard disk that I have already used up for storing music videos, movies, and a list of music albums, I was expecting something more from this new release.

Nevertheless, this seems to be best multi-function MP3 player around and I highly recommend it. This short text-written post can do no justice to this amazing gadget – I highly recommend interested readers to check out Apple’s highly informative iPod touch guided tour (it had over 15 million views already) at http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/guidedtour/ where I believe you will be amazed at how cool the features are.

Price: $498 (8GB), $698 (16 GB)

HTC TyTN II PDA Phone

Having bought its predecessor ‘Dopod 838 Pro’ or HTC TyTN I two months ago, I regretted not having waited for HTC TyTN II which has just been released this month.

HTC TyTN II is a powerful PDA phone running on the Windows Mobile 6 operating system, providing amazing connectivity and features on the go. With the 3.5G HSDPA function, internet can be surfed nine times faster than a 3G phone, with speeds of 3.6mbps which is comparable to broadband internet speed.
HTC TyTN II is also one of the few PDA phones that comes with a slide-out keypad for easy typing. Other features in this phone includes a 3 megapixel camera which produces photos of excellent quality, integrated GPS antenna and software which enable users to track their location while travelling, as well as useful software functions for business users such as pocket office, business card scanner and push e-mail.

Perhaps the only thing I disliked is the lack of battery power as 1350mAh of battery is not enough for a super-PDA with high-end functionalities like this one.

All in all, HTC TyTN II is definitely highly recommended for all those seeking to own a PDA phone.

Interested parties may also like to visit http://www.htc.com/product/03-product_tytn_II.htm, which is a good and resourceful webpage containing all the technical specifications, interactive e-learning, as well as a cool 3D demonstration on using the phone.
